Course content will be delivered via an online training platform with the Foundations of Hypnosis modules available from the day you join. The Transforming Therapy™ and Application modules will be drip-fed over several months so as not to overwhelm you.
Modules include weekly homework tasks, pre-recorded training, and downloadable scripts, all supported by the live mentoring sessions with Sharon Waxkirsh and other training and practicing hypnotherapists.
Professor Ted Kaptchuk (born August 17, 1947) is an American medical researcher who holds professorships in medicine and in global health and social medicine at Harvard Medical School. He researches the placebo effect within the field of placebo studies.
Kaptchuk has served on panels for the NIH and FDA, and worked as a medical writer for the BBC. He has written more than 250 peer-reviewed publications. The New Yorker listed his work among "The Most Notable Medical Findings of 2015"


Dr. Rochelle Zak is a sleep medicine specialist who cares for patients with sleep disorders, including restless legs syndrome, sleep apnea, parasomnia (abnormal behaviors that occur during sleep) and insomnia. She has a particular interest in helping patients manage restless legs syndrome (RLS).
Zak's research focuses on sleep in women in midlife as well as the different ways that RLS may be seen in patients.
Michael Mezmer received his initial Hypnotherapy training at the Hypnotism Training Institute in Glendale CA, under the direct instruction of his mentor, the legendary hypnotherapist Gil Boyne. He also participated in an internship, achieving the Clinical Hypnotherapist level with the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners, as well as specialized certifications as an A.C.H.E. stress management consultant. In addition to his training at the Institute, Michael holds an Degree in psychology from California Coast University. For the past 8 years Michael has exclusively been hypnotherapist consultant to the Unger Concierge Medical Group in Rancho Cucamonga, California.


Professor David Sanders is an Associate Professor of Biological Sciences at Purdue University. He grew up in Teaneck, New Jersey, and then attended the Horace Mann School in Riverdale, New York. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Yale College in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. He conducted his Ph.D. research in Biochemistry with Daniel E. Koshland, Jr., who was then editor of the journal Science, at the University of California at Berkeley. Sanders demonstrated that the response regulators in the two-component regulatory systems were phosphorylated on an aspartate residue and that they were protein phosphatases with a covalent intermediate.

She is a regular presenter at conferences and seminars for the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners (ACHE), IHMDP, the Dave Elman Hypnotherapy Institue (DEHI), the World Aesthetic Congress, the Dental Professionals Association, the British Association for Dental Nurses and the British Dental Technicians Association.
Sharon holds Master Hypnotherapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy, and HypnoBirthing Childbirth Educator certifications. She is fully insured and registered with the General Hypnotheraphy Register and the ICNM.

To gain full certification you must complete the full Accredited Program which is a cost of $2995.
We at the Academy know how important it is for you to feel confident in your practice and offer you access to all online training materials for 18 months from the day you register.
We are also aware that having ongoing Mentoring support can be fundamental to a healthy therapy practitioner and therefore a thriving practice. There are no limits to how long you can remain a member of the Mentoring Group should you wish to join.
